Someone wrote the following question

Hello Pastor Cox,

My question has to do with the actual preaching event. How does one go from writing great sermons to actually preaching great sermons?

Answer:

Thank you for your response. I would first of all say that there is not dichotomy between writing great sermons and preaching them, you must think about the preaching of your sermon even when writing it.

Two great resources on this particular issue are: Black Preaching by Henry Mitchell and The Jazz of Preaching by Kirk Byron Jones.

In addition, we just had a webinar where we talked about Black Preaching Style….That webinar will be avaliable very soon for 8 dollars…

You also should read some of our articles on Black Preaching Style on SoulPreaching.Com…

God Bless and Stay tuned for more information on that subject.
