Could it be we put too much on preaching with out notes? I have such a strong desire to move out without notes, but I refuse to take a chance on messing the people of God up, because a scripture or point has slipped my mind.
Preaching without notes, happens when I take the time to know and write out the main point and its supportive points. Even if I never look at my notes the Holy Spirit still has more to work with if I stop, trying to make preaching without notes a priority.
