Global Bible CommentaryDaniel Patte edited the Global Bible Commentary. This is a number of commentaries on Bible Books from around the world. I took a course from him and he has begun posting papers. In these papers the students would interpret that book in light of their own context and compare it to the commentary in the book.

You can find my entry to the Web Global Commentary here. In this I look at the book of James as an African American preacher speaking to the African American community. You can see other entries to the Web Global Commentary here.
